Albert Stanley Martin, Jr.

Albert Stanley Martin, Jr. 79 of Deer Park, Texas passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 8, 1941 in Fort Worth, Texas to Albert Stanley and Bonnie Elizabeth Martin. He was lovingly called “Sonny” by his family and “Stan the Man” by his friends and co-workers; he worked at General Motors in Arlington, Texas, then moved his family to Deer Park, Texas and retired at DuPont after 28 years as a Pipefitter; He was ordained as a Deacon at Park Temple Baptist Church and continued his service at Community Baptist of Crosby. He was Godly man who lead many to the Lord. Sonny would light up a room when he entered, he never knew a stranger, and treated everyone like family; he had a calming spirit and was always inclusive. He enjoyed classic cars, fishing, and camping with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Patricia Ann Wolfe Martin and his step-grandson, Christopher White.

He is survived by his children, Tony Martin and fiancé Jeanne Pavloski; Todd Martin and wife, Julie; Bridgett White and husband, Kelly; brother, Kelly Martin and partner Nam le; grandchildren, Lauren Bennett and husband, Ken; Merissa Belin and husband, Nick; Tessa Haynes and husband, Nathan; Chelssa Martin; Blake Martin and wife, Jocelyn; Jake Martin; Hayden Martin and Dillon White and wife, Rita; along with 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and his constant companion, his Jack Russell terrier, “Lil Man” who always provided comfort to him.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 2, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with Graveside services being held 3:00pm, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 E. Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
