

Barbara Gray passed away on March 27, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1939, to Charlie Clark and Tempie Baker Clark in Carlisle, Texas. Barbara was the youngest of eight (8) children. Her family moved to Galena Park where she attended High School and met the love of her life, David Lee Gray. They married on August 1, 1957, and were happily married for 64 years and 10 months when David was called home. They were blessed with four (4) daughters and raised their family in Pasadena. Barbara retired from Continental Airlines in 1999. After her retirement, she and David very much loved to travel, living life as an adventure. They lived in Jacinto City, the Cloverleaf in North Shore, Hemphill and LaGrange where they managed the RV parks and settled in Mont Belvieu. After David’s passing, she relocated to Deer Park and lived there until her passing.
Barbara’s joy was her family, including 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. Her enjoyments in life were sewing, quilting, traveling, writing poems and dancing. Throughout her adult years she had penned more than 300 beautiful poems and everyone in the family had a quilt made with love by “Nema” just for them. When a new baby was born in the family, there was a baby quilt made “special” for them. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for the whole gang. She was especially known for her famous mashed potatoes and beef tips and rice.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, and siblings.
Barbara is survived by daughters Debra Kirkpatrick and husband David, Tess Moody and husband Bobby, Leah Jackson, and Kim Brock and husband Tim. Grandchildren Ashley McPeek and husband Stephen, Chad Brock and wife Brooke, Bill Moody and wife Molly, Jacob Kirkpatrick, Cutter Brock and wife Crystal, Samantha Puryear and husband James, Josh Moody, Ben Moody and wife Elizabeth, Alisha Balderrama and husband Jeremy, and Scott Jackson and wife Alyssa. She is also Survived by twenty (20) great grandchildren, Dylan, Lilly, Lincoln, Maisie, Brooklynn, Bowen, Noah, Abbey, Kimber, Remi, Henry, Shelby, Berkley, Baylor, Bostyn, Cashlynn, Brylee, Brayden, Caylee, Kylinn and one (1) great-great grandchild Braxtynn. She was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
