

Charles was born on June 10, 1934 in Waldo, Arkansas to Elliott H. and Minnie E. (Crank) Green.
He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree before joining the U.S. Army in 1958.
Charles was a long time resident of Deer Park and was employed by SIP Engineering, later Parsons Engineering, until his retirement.
Charles was a devoted husband and father who loved nothing more than to listen to the stories and recollections told by his family during holiday gatherings. His unique insights and opinions of life and the world will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his four children: Craig MacArthur (Robin) of Pasadena, Donna Ditta (Mike) of Houston, Sherry King (David) of Houston, and Debra Green-Painter (Mike) of Houston; five grandchildren: Courtney, Charles Ray, Doug, Megan, and April; five great-grandchildren: Harley, Jarrett, Jack, Luke and Dakota; his brothers: Stanley Green (Betty) and Paul Green (Linda); his sister: JoEllen Cullison (Ed); his mother-in-law: Lois Elliott (Baker); as well as nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years, Patsy (Elliott) in 2008.
A celebration of Charles' life will be held on Saturday, November 26th, at 3:00 PM at the Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
