Charles David Jones

Charles David Jones, known lovingly as David, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with lung cancer and COPD.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, David made his home in La Porte, Texas, where he shared 25 wonderful years with his beloved wife and partner, Sharon. Together, they built a large and loving blended family that brought him immense joy.

David is survived by his stepchildren: Melissa Gavin and her husband Josh, along with their children Keith, Jordan, Lauren, Mary, and David; Mike Alvarez and his wife Catrina, and their children Sarah, Melissa, Michelle, and Mason; Marcie Moon and her children Cory and Cameron; Jennifer Petty and her husband Chad, and their children Ella, Emerson, and Evyn; and James Bump and his wife Danielle, and their son Caiden. David and Sharon were blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He is also survived by his sister Patricia, niece Jennifer, and many cherished cousins, aunts and uncles in Alabama.

David found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, traveling, riding his Harley Davidson, and spending time with his beloved dogs. His warmth, adventurous spirit, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation and service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on August 22, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Immediately following, David will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
