Born September 13, 1939 as Clara Jane Ellerbee in Bunkie, Louisiana, she is preceded in death by husbands James Dunn and Edward (Red) Harbes, her parents Harry & Ada Neal Ellerbee, daughter Debbie Faubion, granddaughter Wendy Faubion and grandsons Shane Faubion & Jim Hales; and son in law, ME (Buddy) Hales.
Jane is survived by: daughter Terry Hales of Crosby, Texas; daughters and sons in law Vicki & Damon Stanforth of Moriarty, New Mexico, Susan & Tom Fulmer of Kemah, Texas, and Pam & Ed Toups of Bacliff, Texas; step daughter Sherrie Harbes Benton of Deer Park, Texas; grandchildren Misti Birdsong, TJ Fulmer, Penny Shannon, Brittany Stanforth, Phillip Thornton and Ashley Woods; numerous great grandchildren and her great-great granddaughter and grandson. Also survived by sister Sue Roberts of Franklin, North Carolina, brother and sister in law Roy & Effie Ellerbee of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, brother in law Lloyd Dunn and sister in law Beverly Dunn of Highlands, Texas, as well as many valued friends, particularly Joann Hobbs, Sue Randel, and Charlene Osborne.
In addition to spending valuable time with her girls and their families, Jane enjoyed participating in the East Harris County Precinct 2 Senior Citizen events (Precinct2gether). A multitalented woman, she had the mechanical aptitude to build a motorcycle as well as the talents of a seamstress and most anything in between. Jane also enjoyed her chickens, working in the yard, and was not afraid of getting her hands dirty. The holiday season at her house was a major event! Days and weeks of decorating, gift wrapping, baking and other preparation all led up to her favorite day. No one seemed to enjoy Christmas as much as Jane did.
The family will receive visitors Monday, June 29, 2020, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway in Pasadena, Texas. Memorial Services and Interment shall be Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM
