Clay was born July 10, 1973 in Baytown Texas. Clay had many different fields of employment, but law enforcement was his true calling. He began his career at Fulshear County. He worked for a few different precincts and in 2015 he moved to the Port of Galveston Police Department. Clay wore a few hats for the police department, including Facility Security Officer and Liaison with federal branches as well. He served as Administration Sergeant and worked closely with the cruise lines security, dispatch, training coordinator and drone team.
Jumping in the vehicle to go for a short drive to nowhere was not uncommon for Clay, he loved doing this. He spent many days at the range teaching those who wanted to learn or just hanging out with the family making memories.
Clay was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Karen. He is survived by his wife Kelly Ann Garrison, two stepsons Cody Bauer and Tony Edwards, and two granddaughters.
A memorial service for Clay will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grace Church, 14505 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas 77034.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grandviewfunerals.com for the Garrison family.
