Ed was born in Dodge City, Kansas, on November 22, 1957. He graduated from Deer Park High School. Ed was married to Karen Vaughn on April 3, 1993; they were happily married 26 years. Ed worked as a train engineer, warehousemen, painter and fire fighter for Albemarle Corporation for 33 years. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, playing video games with children and grandchildren, helping others, learning how to do everything (through hours and days of YouTube videos), and above all else - his family. He was also actively involved in his Church.
Ed is survived by wife Karen Vaughn, grandchildren Carley Woods, Tyler Schell, Isaac Schell, and Ambrielle Vaughn, siblings Cindy Morton, Tammie Vaughn, and Donene Higgins, children Lonnie Woods and wife Traci, Ami Vaughn and Eric Schell, Edward Vaughn and wife Beth, and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ed is preceded in death by mother Marlene Vaughn, father Erby Vaughn, and brother Jack Vaughn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:00am at Grand View Funeral Home. Pastor Royce Scott of Parkwood United Methodist will be officiating. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, immediately following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Parkwood United Methodist Church.
