

home to his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 27, 2020 due to complications from dementia.
He was the first of five children born to Marvin and Lorna Garrett. He attended Deer Park schools and graduated from Deer Park High school in 1961. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force for four years where he was an air conditioning mechanic. Upon discharge, he started his A/C business, Ray’s A/C & Heat, in Pasadena, Texas. He operated and grew his business with his brother, George Garrett, and other family members for more than 30 years until he retired to Marble Falls, Texas. Later in life, he moved back to Deer Park to be closer to family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lorna Garrett. He was widowed by Denise Jacob Garrett.
He is survived by his children; Mark Travis Garrett (Marisol) and Melanie Kay Garrett Bruce. He has four grandsons; Travis, Morgan, Mason, and Dean. He is also survived by his four siblings; George Garrett (Cecelia), Linda King (Paul), Susan Lenhart, Jon Garrett (Debbie), one uncle, George Chapman, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is further survived by the mother of his children, Susan Hoard.
A visitation will take place Thursday December 3, 2020 from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, followed by a private family service at 1:00pm due to COVID restrictions .
