

Eloise Fay Brockman Sunday, 88, of Pasadena, Texas, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in her home. Born in Alvin, Texas on October 27, 1925 to Minnie Irene Edmundson and Edwin S. Brockman, she was raised by her parents and step-father, Floyd C. Butler, living the rest of her days in Pasadena.
She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1942 after which she attended beautician school and then worked in a local shop. Eloise worked at several other businesses before completing her professional career at Travelers Insurance Company, where she spent 34 years.
On January 19, 1962, Eloise and Zeb Dee Sunday were united in marriage. Through this union of 34 years, she gained 4 step-sons, Ricky James, Bobby Dee (deceased), David William and Steven Michael.
Eloise lived life to the fullest up to her last days. She enjoyed dancing, gambling and catering for the various groups to which she and Zeb belonged.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise was pre-deceased by her only brother, William F. “Bill” Butler.
Among her loving surviving family members are sister-in-law, Dolores Butler of Portland TX; nephew, Kurt (Leasa) Butler and their daughter, Taylor of Houston TX; nieces, Judy Butler of Corpus Christi TX and Debbie (Tommy) Kemp of Portland TX and their children, Megan Kemp (Jake Witherspoon), Kyle (Michelle) Kemp, Kevin Kemp (fiancé, Timea Mester) and their granddaughter, Ella Witherspoon. Also surviving Eloise are her cousin, Emaline Clark, of College Station, TX; daughter-in-law, Zita Trevino of Channelview, TX; grandchildren, Nita Eloise Sunday, of Pasadena, and her daughters, Kayla and Alyssa Ayala and Bobby Dee Sunday, Jr., of Channelview, TX and his children, Jennifer and Matthew Sunday along with several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will be forever grateful to Eloise’s dear friends, Nell Meadows and Anna Lee & Jerry, and her giving care-takers, Lois and Marquita, LaDonna Dream Care and Hospice Compassus.
Visitation at Grand View Funeral Home and Cemetery will begin at 2:30 pm Saturday, October 18, 2014. Services will follow there at 3:30pm led by Pastor Thom of Peace Lutheran Church where Eloise has been a member for many years.
