Emma Marie “Ms. Hollywood” Monti, 89, a longtime resident of Houston, Texas passed away on March 1, 2013 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on August 26, 1923 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Wilson and Olive Tippit. Emma was predeceased by her parents; husband of 35 years, Jack Monti, sons, W.T. Tyler and Dennis Tyler; an infant girl and 3 brothers. She is survived by daughters, Olive Harbes and Susan Monn and husband Bruce; sons, Stephen Meredith, Michael Meredith and Kenneth Meredith and wife Becky; sister, Doris Dromgoole and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Emma was a devoted Christian and a member of Watters Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of The Yellow Rose Personal Care Home for their warmth and kindness towards Emma. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
