Gaston Earl Pate, Sr. was born on March 18, 1940 in San Augustine, Texas to Johnnie Pate and Mildred Wyatt Pate. He entered into rest on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 4:30pm in Trinity, Texas, thus he attained the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 3 days.
He was a retired pipefitter, Local 211. He was a member of Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God in Trinity, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Y. Pate of Trinity; his son, Gaston E. Pate, Jr. and wife Brenda; his grandson, Joshua Pate and wife Jennifer; his granddaughter, Amber Davis; his great-grandsons Keagan and Kaeden Pate; his brother, Thomas Pate and wife Glendale; his sister, Martha Galloway and husband James; his sister-in-law, Kathy Pate; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Pate-Roberts; his parents, Johnnie and Mildred Pate; his sister, Johnnie Ruth Husband; and his brother, Barnett Wayne Pate, Sr.
