Glenda Ellis

Glenda Nell Johnson Ellis, 73, of Deer Park, Texas passed away on December 29, 2020. Glenda was born in Waco, Texas on September 6, 1947 to Vernon and Yvonne Johnson. She happily married Donald Paul Ellis on January 29, 1966 and they were blessed with 54 wonderful years together.

A memorial service will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00pm, prior to the service.

Glenda retired after 19 years as a bus driver for the Deer Park school district. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a passion for camping, fishing, traveling, arts and crafts of any kind, and above all else her beloved family.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Yvonne Johnson, her brother Barney Johnson, nephew Kerry Johnson and sister-in-law Dotty Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Ellis, daughter, Wendy Kristine Knight and her husband Wayne, brother, Vernon Johnson II and his wife Pam, brother, Doug Johnson, nieces Julia Felice and husband Kenneth, Krystal Johnson Easley, Leanne Amodemo and husband Frank, and Sandy Fridge, nephews Craig Straight and wife Johnna, and Clifford Straight and wife Heather, as well as many beloved great-nieces and nephews.
