Harold was born on September 29, 1944 in Montgomery, West Virginia to Arnold Richard and Eunice (Singleton) Oiler, the sixth of nine children. He left home in 1961 at 16 to join the army, served as an MP, and was stationed in Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Donna Ann Locke. They married on May 2, 1964, two weeks after they met. He and Donna raised two boys together, but they also had an incredible impact in helping to raise siblings, nieces and nephews, and a plethora of neighborhood youth. Harold served as Vice President and President of Little League; he was a baseball coach, FFA and 4H mentor, and a strong supporter of the Pasadena rodeo, sharing his love of raising horses with the youth of Pasadena. Harold’s legacy for those who knew him is his strong values and unbreakable strength of will, his warmth, his enormous heart, and his great big laugh.
Harold is survived by his wife Donna of 51 years, and by two sons, Arnold Richard “Rick” Oiler and his wife Sandy of League City, Texas, and Shawn DeWayne Oiler and his wife Amy of Spring, Texas.
