

Blake was born on February 18, 1956 to parents Rosemary and Bill Pippen. He was raised in South Houston but spent his life in Pasadena, Texas. Blake attended South Houston High School and graduated class of 74’. He attended Alvin Community College where he played baseball.
After working in the concrete core drilling industry, he made the courageous decision in 1983 to start his own company, South Texas Core Drilling. He continued with his dream of being self-employed and successful up until his last days. He had the upmost tenacity in serving all of his customers with an equal and outstanding work ethic.
He instilled his integrity, hardworking attitude, compassion, independence, and responsibility into both his daughters. Blake was a Dad who lived by example and made sure that his daughters knew how to prepare for life and live life to the fullest. He lived his life being a protector to his girls. He was their biggest fan and their rock. He would do anything and everything he could to make them happy, keep them safe and make sure they felt his love his entire life.
Blake always had a passion for motorcycles, fast boats, playing pool and being around the water. When he could, he spent time spoiling his granddogs and would periodically call to see if he could have them for the weekend.
Blake always had a wealth of knowledge in various subjects including politics, conspiracies, world issues and business. He was known as the guy that you could get lost in conversation with for hours talking about any of these subjects. Blake always made himself and others laugh with his quirky jokes and sense of humor.
He gained his wings on August 20, 2020 and joined his mother in becoming his daughters’ guardian angels.
Blake is survived by his daughters, Shelly Thompson, her husband Stephen, and Christine Pippen; Father, William (Bill) Pippen; Brother, William (Billy) Pippen; Nephew, Kyle Pippen as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10AM with Chaplin Rob Johnson officiating. Blake will take one last ride on his motorcycle after the service to his residence in Pasadena; Guests are welcome to join.
