Jade Taylor Pacanek went to be with the Lord on July 25th, 2020. She was born Jade Taylor Long on May 13th, 1992 to Delwin and Tara Jill Long (now Tara Jill Archer). Growing up Jade enjoyed going places such as Astroworld and Disney World with her ‘paw paw.’ She enjoyed modeling and taking pictures with her ‘nana.’ She spent several years in cheer and dance under the guidance of her mother. Most importantly, she enjoyed shopping with ‘Grandmaw.’ In addition to time spent with parents and grandparents, she enjoyed spending time with her cousins. This included many trips to beaches, as well as trips to the deer lease to ride four wheelers.
In high school, Jade began dating John Bickel. On June 9, 2008 they welcomed Ava Hope Bickel into the world. Shortly thereafter, December 3, 2009, they welcomed Eidyn Danielle Bickel into the world. In 2010, Jade married John and became Jade Bickel. Jade enjoyed spending time with John, their kids, and her family. They even added two dogs to their family, Anabelle and Scarlett.
In February 2018, Jade married Marcin Pacanek. January 2, 2019, they welcomed Kennedy Harper Pacanek into the world. Jade enjoyed spending time with Kennedy and playing video games with Marcin. In addition to video games, Jade was a master of cellular phones. Using two hands, she was able to type faster than anyone else in the family!
Jade loved her three children dearly. She chose unique and pretty names for her three girls: Ava Hope Bickel, Eidyn Danielle Bickel, and Kennedy Harper Pacanek. They were the pride of her life. She loved choreographing dances with her girls and especially watching the girls dance for her. She labored tirelessly for hours before dance recitals artistically making the girls extremely beautiful and fashionable as she fussed for hours over their hair and makeup. It was indeed a true labor of love. When it was time to take pictures at school or family functions she worked her magic and made her girls breathlessly beautiful.
She had a special bond of love with her girls as they spent hour after hour watching movies; sometimes all night, and television shows. Jade’s girls were like magnets as they drew many, many friends over to spend the night. Paw Paw called them Harry Potter goofballs, and Jade and the girls called Paw Paw Hogwart. The popcorn popped and the Bluebell scooped all night under the Harry Potter sheet tents the girls made in the den as they laid on the floor watching each movie on the big TV. Spells were cast as Jade shared magical moments with her girls. Grandmother said she expected to see them flying through the house on brooms casting magic spells.
There were a host of additional favorites Jade and the girls loved. A few of the plethora of shows Jade and the zillion friends of the girls that stayed overnight watched time and time again were: Vampire Diaries, 13 Reasons Why, Dance Moms, Star Wars, Riverdale, The Originals, Tangled, and Shrek.
Jade was especially proud of Eidyn’s athletic ability. Eidyn excelled in a youth volleyball association league the past couple of years. Jade was a proud mother as she cheered as Eidyn served and scored repeatedly for the team. Jade was the proudest parent in the stands.
As a teenager, Jade was madly in love with the Twilight Series. She oscillated between being a vampire or a werewolf. Grandmother expected her to begin howling every full moon. She truly loved to read and excelled in reading in school. Jade was a loving adult. She truly loved her family. She dearly loved her mother and dad. She also held a very special place in her heart for both grandmothers and grandfathers.
Paw Paw used to take Jade and her cousins Amy and Ashley to the deer lease. He would let them ride the 4 wheelers. They promised to ride only on the trails, but they were known to plow through weeds and jungle making a new path, or ride through the deep mud. They would come back to camp scratched and bleeding, vines and leaves all over the 4 wheelers, faces caked with mud, and say “yes Paw Paw, we stayed on the trails”. Paw Paw also remembers taking Jade and her cousins to Galveston State Park where they waded out too far, lost the float raft that floated into the Gulf, and got third degree burns so bad everyone had to pack up and go home to see the doctor.
The Good Lord took Jade to be with the Angels. She left behind a loving family who will miss her greatly. She left the world a better place than when she entered. She left three beautiful, sweet, loving girls to carry on the special memories of their beloved mother: Jade Taylor Long Bickel Pacanek. Heaven is brightened by her presence.
Jade is survived by her husband Marcin Pacanek; daughters Ava Hope Bickel, Eidyn Danielle Bickel, and Kennedy Harper Pacanek; father Dr. Delwin J. Long II; stepmother Margat Long; mother Tara Jill Archer and stepfather Jay Archer; sisters Isabell Long and Lilian Long; grandfather Dr. Delwin Long Sr. and grandmothers Linda Long and Fannie Williams; uncles William Long and Todd Williams; aunt Tammy Williams Lyssy; cousins Olivia Long, Myles Long, Andrew Lyssy, Austin Lyssy, Ashley Williams, Amy Savarese, and Campbell Williams.
