Celebrating the life of James Columbus Casey, born on April 1, 1944 in Greenville, Texas to parents Volley Casey and Geneva Freeman Casey. James attended LaGrange High School and San Jacinto College. James served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 as a stock clerk, during the Vietnam War effort.
James married Diane Allen on June 15, 1968. They were married for 51 years and lived in Pasadena. He worked for at Port Terminal Railroad for 27 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Clearpoint Church in Pasadena, Texas. His faith and his family were very important to him. James always said, “Jesus loves you.” He enjoyed his family vacations and gardening. James enjoyed classic rock, jazz, and Christian music.
James passed away on April 6, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Volley and Geneva Casey. Those left to treasure his memory are Diane Allen Casey –his loving wife; daughter, Geneva Ann Zetina and husband Enrique Zetina; granddaughters, Holly Landrum, Brittany and Julia Ford; brother, Vaughn Casey and wife Cathy; sister, Glenda Fontenot; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
