James Royce Choate born on April 15, 1965, in Houston, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2024, in Pasadena, Texas. Royce grew up in North Shore, Texas and was a resident of Deer Park, Texas for 35 years. He was the beloved son of Jimmy and Ann Choate and is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Angie Choate, and their cherished daughter, Haley Choate. Royce also leaves behind his mother, Ann Choate, and his sister, Kristi Choate.
A graduate of North Shore High School, Royce dedicated over 40 years to the construction industry, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. He was a man of many interests, enjoying fishing, hunting, listening to audiobooks, and tinkering on household projects during his leisure time. Royce was characterized by his great sense of humor and his deep care for his friends and family, making lasting memories with those he loved.
Royce’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The family will be holding a private celebration of James Royce Choate’s life.
