

JANET SUE (JONES) ANDERSON “GRANBERRY” of Deer Park, Texas received her eternal reward on Monday, December 26, 2022. Janet was born on February 4, 1947 the daughter of Everett and Lucille Jones. After graduating from Texas City High School, she attended Baylor University. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics from The University of Houston while working as a Field Economist for the United States, Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Janet is survived by her four daughters, Tamera Kriter (David), Teresa Auzenne (Whitney), Andrea McNeely (Mike), and Tiffany Wilkinson as well as 11 Grandchildren; Avery and Kennedy Ballard, Taylor White (Logan), Peyton and Ava Obenberger, Joshua and Jordan Landers, Jessica and Evan McNeely, Cameron and Keaton Wilkinson; 7 brothers-in-law, and 7 sisters-in-law.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Lucille Jones and husband Walter J. Anderson Jr, as well as his parents Walter Sr. and Dorothy Anderson.
Janet “Granberry” enjoyed many hobbies including traveling, watching Astros games, volunteering at the Hobby Center, and attending all of the various activities in which her talented grandchildren participated.
Visitation will be Friday Evening, January 6, 2023 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy. Pasadena, Texas 77505 including a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 1604 9th Ave N., Texas City, Texas 77590, followed by interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas.
Pallbearers will be cousin Rickey Jones, grandsons Joshua Landers, Jordan Landers, Kennedy Ballard, Cameron Wilkinson, Keaton Wilkinson, and Evan McNeely.
The family will acknowledge donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center @ gifts.mdanderson.org.
