James David (JD) Williamson was born August 28, 1955 to Colonel James Williamson (USAF Retired) and Betty Williamson and died on March 26, 2018. He graduated Allen Academy in 1973 and went to work for Shell a short time later. JD went on to give 30+ years of service to Shell before retiring in 2015 as the Captain of the Fire and Emergency Response team. For many years JD was a volunteer firefighter/medic for the LaPorte Fire Department. Outside of being a first responder, JD was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle. JD loved riding his Harley Davidson and cooking new things. JD was one of those people that everyone enjoyed being around, he was the life of the party. JD was also known for his intelligence, his quick wittedness and all his useless "fun facts" that he would give out at any point in time. JD spent his life serving and helping others in so many ways.
JD is preceded in death by his father, Colonel James Williamson (USAF Retired). JD leaves behind his mother, Betty N Williamson, wife, Tammie Williamson, a son, James David Williamson Jr., a daughter Kim Hickman and her husband Dan, sons Matthew and Austin Collom, his sister, Ruth Bennett and her husband Ben, Linda Kirby and her husband Bob, and Robbie Pape.
A Memorial Celebration of JD's life will be held Monday, April 2 in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home located at 8501 Spencer Highway Pasadena, Texas 77505. All are invited to a reception immediately following from 2:30-4:30. In honor of JD please come dressed casually as we reflect on his legacy.
