John Crandell Sisson, Jr., 78, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2014, in Sulfur, Louisiana. John (Crandell) was born on August 12, 1936 in Houston, Texas to John and Helen Sisson of Pasadena, Texas.
John (Crandell) spent most of his life as a patient in group homes operated by Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries in Lake Charles and Sulfur, Louisiana. He was well known in the group homes by his warm, friendly, smile and hand shake. He was elected “King” of the Mardi Gras Ball and known as “Clark Gable” by his friends. Although he could not verbally express it, he showed his love through his eyes. The family of John (Crandell) would like to thank Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries for their years of service, dedication, and loving care as they ministered to his needs.
John (Crandell) was preceded in death by his parents John Crandell Sisson, Sr. and Helen Louise Spears Sisson. John (Crandell) is survived by his stepmother Pauline Seale Sisson, brother Thomas Murray Sisson and wife Carry and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services for John Crandell Sisson, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. at Grand View Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Services will be officiated by Pastor Michael Naron, Second Baptist Church Pasadena.
