

Marlin Lenhart passed away February 8, 2016. He was born October 8, 1929 to Corbin and Lillian Nora Shedd Lenhart in Dallas, TX. Marlin had his own air conditioning/heating business, L & M Air Conditioning, for over 40 years. His hobbies were golf, fishing, gardening, bowling, playing cards and dominos. He loved to grow beautiful roses and always had a vegetable garden. He joined the Army Air Corps when he was just 16 years old and served 3 years in San Antonio, Texas. He has served faithfully in many churches over his life, but most recently was a member of First Baptist of South Houston for the last 25 years. At First Baptist he served on many committees but was best known for all the work he did as property committee chairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Corbin Lenhart, mother, Lillian Nora Shedd Lenhart, brothers, William, Otis, Marvin and Paul, sisters, Wanda Hammond, Gloria Shultz, Margie Carpenter, and Diane Isham.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Cynthia Vrla and husband David, son, Marlin Stephen and wife Gigi, daughter, Frances Mills, step-daughter, Mary Whitaker and husband Paul, step-daughter, Teresa Harper and husband Jon; grandchildren, Carrie Hatfield and husband Joshua, Carlie Woodlee and husband Jacob, Taylor Griffith and husband Kenny, Marlin Joshua Lenhart, Bailey Wilson and Rachel Lenhart; step-grandchildren, Alexis Harper, Wade Harper, Paul Whitaker, Dylan Harper, Wyatt Whitaker, Ella Whitaker and Elizabeth Whitaker; great grandchildren, Cody Hatfield, Ryann Hatfield, Abby Wilson, Jaxon Woodlee, Trystan Shupak and Noah Woodlee; also survived by brothers, Leroy Lenhart, David Lenhart and wife JoAnna, and Daniel Lenhart and wife Sara, sister-in-law, Carol Lenhart; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The services for Marlin will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Visitation at 1 pm, service at 2 pm, graveside at 3 pm.
