Mary Adelyn Blair went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 11th, 2021. Mary was born on September 7, 1950 in Warren Arkansas. She moved to Baytown, Texas at the age of 3, with her parents Maxine and Clarence. One year later, her brother Stephen Andrew was born, and the family moved to Pasadena, Texas.
She was a 1969 graduate of Pasadena High School where she was an officer of the Future Homemakers of America, a member of the Acapella Choir and Art Club. After graduation she worked at Campbell’s Florist where she learned to make beautiful floral arrangements and bows, which her family enjoyed for years to come. Her talents in this area were much appreciated as over the years she would always volunteer to make corsages, boutonnieres, beautiful Christmas bows, hair bows and floral arrangements for her family and friends anytime the occasion arose.
Following her position at Campbell’s Florist she worked at various places before finding a home at San Jacinto Junior College in Pasadena, Texas where she retired from after 21 years.
Mary was an Arkansas Razorback fan and loved the many family road trips she would take with her parents and brother to visit her beloved Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Arkansas. While she had no children of her own, she loved her nephew Scott and niece Ashley as if they were her own. She spent much of her time with them as they grew up and then with her great nieces and nephews as they came along. She loved to bake sweet treats, especially around the holidays and felt no dinner should ever end without desert! She was very talented at cross stitching and loved making and sharing her beautiful designs with family and friends. She had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s and watching all the Hollywood Musicals of that time and before. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Clarence Blair. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and JoAnn Blair of Pearland; her nephew and wife, Scott and Julie Blair of Deer Park; her niece and husband, Ashley and Greg Sharp of La Porte; and her very special great nieces and nephews, Jaicee and Jake Blair of Deer Park and Hunter and Emma Sharp of La Porte. She is also survived by many cousins she loved very much.
