November 11, 1941 - May 2, 2026
Michelle Scarcella, 84, was born November 11, 1941 in Conroe, Texas. She passed away May 2, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years David W. Scarcella Sr. and her parents Carl & Velma Contella.
Michelle will be greatly missed by her daughter, Patrice Lange and husband Paul; son, David Scarcella, Jr. and wife Laurie; grandchildren Cody and wife Sarah; Megan Scarcella and Anthony Lange; great granddaughter Gracelyn; and also by her brother Carl Contella Jr.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University and later received her teaching certification. She was an amazing kindergarten teacher of 23 years in Pasadena ISD, where she worked alongside many amazing colleagues, most notably her closest friend, Joyce Gay.
One of Michelle's greatest loves was music. Some of Michelle's happiest times were spent singing with friends in the various church choirs she and David belonged to. She added to this joy playing handbells for special holidays.
Michelle loved spending time with family and friends, as well as her beloved dogs. And if there was an Astros game on tv, she was most likely watching it. She was also a devoted fan of any Texas A&M sport and was especially proud when the women's volleyball team won the national championship a few months ago.
