Mildred Rath, 92, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away on February 28, 2019. She was born in Brenham, Texas on July 10, 1926 to Henry and Minnie Winkelmann. She was married to Fred Arthur Rath for 40 wonderful years.
Millie worked for the Deer Park School District for most of her career, starting in the Administration Building, then as a Teacher’s Aide at the San Jacinto Elementary School. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and had a passion for gardening, sewing, making porcelain dolls and her church.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie Winkelmann; son, Linn Michael Welch; husband, Fred Arthur Rath; sister, Velma Lee Meekins; brother, Raymond Winkelmann; step-son, Charles Davis Rath; son-in-law, Jerry Edwin Isaacks; grandson, Darrel Wayne Isaacks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by daughters, Sheryl (Sherry) Isaacks and Mimi Sue Ehring; step-daughter, Cheryl Diane Boyette with son-in-law Randall D. Boyett; (6) grandchildren, Shannon Leigh Ewing, Brandon W. Ehring, Britni Ray, Chelsi Young, Roya Ferguson, Connor Rath; (8) great-grandchildren, Austin Ewing, Vinny Zahorik, Liam Zahorik, Layla Ehring, Emma Ray, Eli Ray, Evan Ray and Savannah Young.
Mildred was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.
