Patricia Cady

Patricia “Pat” J. Cady, age 97 of Pasadena passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, peacefully at her home. She was born on February 2, 1926, in Kaukauna, WI the daughter of D.J. and Hilda (Gibbs) Kitto. She was married to her high school sweetheart; Herbert D. Cady and their marriage was blessed with five children. Pat was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, TX for most of her married life and in her later years became a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park, TX. She also worked as a secretary in the church office at St. Pius V and First United Methodist Church in Pasadena. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herb on December 10, 1997; daughters Susan J. Marcotte and Barbara (Ron) Hoffmann, son Jeff Cady, and sons-in law Steve Block, James Meraz, and Jim McCann.

Pat is survived by her sister, Peg DePrey of Colorado Springs, CO, brother, Michael Kitto of Tyler, TX, children Linda Block McCann, Laurie Meraz, and daughter-in-law Linda Williford Cady.

Grandchildren: Christopher Hoffmann, Steve R. (Sherri) Block, Shannon Block, Jon (Lauren) Cady, Mark (Samantha) Cady, Jamie (Jonathan) Payne, Jason (Leea) Meraz, Melissa (Kevin) Mielsch.

Numerous nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. Family was the most important thing to Pat and sports came a close second.

The mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 3131 El Dorado Blvd, Houston, TX 77059. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX, 77505.
