Pearl McLaughlin Piehl, 90, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2019. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Theodore McLaughlin and Frances Gilbert on September 6, 1928, Pearl lived to see amazing transformations in history. Surviving the "Great Depression", Pearl learned at a young age how to overcome obstacles and develop strength throughout her years.
Pearl had a talent with anything she set her mind to do. But as for her baking biscuits, this was an enjoyable task she achieved until retirement. Yet the love she poured into her skill was tasted with every bite, sharing the famous recipe would be the gift to anyone who wanted to have it.
Pearl Piehl is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Frances McLaughlin; siblings, Maryanne, Walter and Doris.
She is survived and will be missed by her extended family, Linda Goodwin, Roxanne Matela, numerous and countless friends from her church as well as anyone who met and loved her.
Pearl will be missed by many, but forgotten by no one.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Grand View Chapel.
Burial to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
