

Pete Montoya, IV, age 24 of Pasadena, Texas passed Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. He was born September 28, 1988 in Pasadena, Texas. Pete graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 2006 in Pasadena, TX. Pete led a treasured Texas lifestyle consumed by sports and then went on to explore a deep hidden craving for film and creative writing. In 2009 he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Film from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He owned an unmistakable focus for independent writing, and a varied concentration in screen writing, stand-up comedy, music, and also tapping into sports writing. According to Pete all this open-mindedness lead to an unknown degree, and geared to constant limitless creative mentality. Pete is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita Becerra DeLeon. He is survived by his mother, Delia D. Montoya; father, Pete Montoya, III; maternal grandparent, Frank Sanchez DeLeon, Jr.; paternal grandparent, Carmen V. Chapa; sister, Andrea Marie Zapata and brother in law, Joe Zapata; proud nephew and niece, J.D. and Avy Marie Zapata and brother, Max Montoya; fiancée, Sarah Chovanec and expected arrival of niece, Andie Lynn Montoya; and countless uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends all from Pasadena, TX. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
