

Bobby faced his long journey with diabetes with unwavering strength, never letting it dim his humor.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Melida V. Muñoz, father, Pedro Ruben Muñoz, mother, Dionicia S. Muñoz, brothers, Jose Ruben Cano, and Benito Muñoz.
Left to continue his legacy are his three children: Marissa Muñoz, Fermin E. Muñoz (Cecilia), and Delissa Muñoz, his beloved and only granddaughter, Briana Muñoz, fur-puppy grandson, Alvin, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
Bobby graduated from Roma High School in 1973. He attended Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. He decided to change direction and enlist into the United States Army. He proudly served in the 58th Infantry 2nd Armored Division better known as “Hell on Wheels” under Colonel George S. Patton Jr. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonardwood in Missouri. He received Expert Badges for Rifle, Pistol, and Grenade. After basic training he deployed to Hohenfels, Germany for active duty. His primary specialty was a Medical Specialist (Medic). He returned to finish his duty at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Upon completing his active and reserve duties, he was discharged, Honorably, from Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas.
Bobby was well known for his charisma, unique style, and most notably his dancing skills. He loved to show off his Stacy Adams and Fedora, while waltzing, rock-n-rolling, swing dancing, or zapateado to Tejano music.
Bobby’s passion was spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, BBQ’s, and calling his friends. He also loved to watch cooking shows, action movies, old westerns, and had several favorite series of shows he watched every week (Blue Bloods, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, FBI, and Law and Order SVU).
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505 from 12 pm to 8pm with a celebration of life at 3:00 pm.
Burial will be at the Houston National Cemetery on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm. 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Tx 77038.
The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Kelsey Seybold Clinic, Fresenius Kidney Care – Deer Park (Marylou - BEST Charge Nurse and Melissa - BEST Connect and Disconnect Nurse), Transition Home Care (Terry, Megan, and Brianna), and Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Medical Center.
