Rocky Allen Thaxton, age 68, of La Porte, Texas passed away at his home surrounded by family and loved ones on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Rocky was born February 22, 1954 in Sissonville, West Virginia.
Rocky was a Texas resident for over 41 years. He was a first class entrepreneur and inventor always looking for a better way to get things done.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Mary Thaxton, his sister, Dixie Krichbaum, and his step daughter Angela Scruggs Patton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dorothy Jean (Jeannie) Thaxton, daughter Kimberly Fleck (Michael), grandsons Joey Bruso, Parker (McKenna) Fleck, Houston Fleck and great-grandsons Sawyer and Laine Fleck; sisters, Nadine Gandy, Honey Cox and Darlena Wheatcraft (Bob) and brother, Sonny Thaxton and many close friends and family members too numerous to mention.
Visitation with family and friends is to be held at Grandview Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas on April 10, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
An additional service will be held at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, West Virginia at a date to be announced later.
