Ronald Dale Buck, 83, of Pasadena, TX was born on July 31, 1936 and passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. Ronald was born in Liberty Hill, TX and was the second of six children born to parents Leota and Clayton Buck.
Growing up, Ronald attended Liberty Hill Elementary, Baker Jr. High, Jackson Jr. High and went on to graduate from Pasadena High School, Class of 1955. After graduation, Ronald enlisted in the US Army and proudly served from January 26, 1956 to January 14, 1959. He attained the rank of SP4 CE-4T.
On December 27, 1957 he was married to Rebecca Faye Dorsett at Market Street Baptist Church, Greens Bayou, TX. Upon returning home from the military, he went to work at Goodyear Chemical Company. In 1996, he retired after 37 years of service. He was an active member of Goodyear Retirement Club and liked to attend events and trips, and enjoyed having lunch at the clubhouse.
Ronald had a good sense of humor, was honest, loving, patriotic, and always on time. He loved spending time with his family, and in his spare played golf, watched sports, and was active in the Goodyear Chemical retirees club. In his last few years he had grown closer to the Lord and enjoyed watching Ed Young.
Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dale Buck Jr.; daughters, Teresa Lynn Hartley and Terrie Jane Moore; mother, Leota Buck; father, Clayton Buck; sisters, Billie Williams, Barbara Deese; brother, Stephen Buck, and special friend Robert Robinson,
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca F. Buck; grandson, Wendell Hartley Jr.; granddaughters, Tabitha R. Hulon and Ashley S. Hartley; grandson, Corey D. Moore; sister, Carlene Durrett, brother, Gary Buck; 3 great granddaughters, 6 great grandsons, and special friends, Raymond McGinnes, Willie Gault and Morrice Malinak. Morrice and Ronald were known as the neighborhood watch.
A visitation will be held on Thursday July 30, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Grand View Funeral Home, with funeral services to start at 11:00am
