Ronnie Allen Drake

Ronnie was born in Brownfield, Texas to Cecil and Dorothy Drake on January 30, 1948 @ 3:40pm. He went to high school at Ector High School in Odessa, Texas. He spent 35 years working at the Chevron/Phillips - Cedar Bayou Chemical Plant in Baytown Texas for KBR and Zachary Construction.

He was a member of the AF&AM Masonic Lodge #857 in LaPorte since 1986, National Rifle Association (NRA), and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #2753 in LaPorte.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil & Dorothy; His beloved wife of 30 years, Judy Drake; and granddaughter, Janie Grimes.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy Drake LeBlanc of North Carolina.

He is survived by his son Taner Drake and wife, Jalynn of Victoria, Texas; Daughter Kelly La Frentz and husband Kenneth of Mont Belvieu, Texas; Daughter Bridgette Grimes and husband, Raymond of LaPorte, Texas; and Daughter Shera Drake of Odessa, Texas.

He is survived by 13 grandchildren: Misty Bennett and husband Nathan; Nicholas Meekins and wife Cortney;, Cayeleigh Drake; Spencer Drake; Sean La Frentz; Brad La Frentz; Raymond Tumlinson and wife Dee; Aaron Jenkins; Savannah Drake; and Jonathon Byrne.

He is survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Kade Ratliff; Annalynne Bennett; Avery Slood; D’ari Tumlinson; and Ashley Rios.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Funral Service will be Thusday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00am at Grand View Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
