Thomas Frank Payne Jr., also known as Frank, passed away on December 19th, 2024, at the age of 73. Born in Houston, Texas, on November 17th, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Doris Jean Gray and Thomas Frank Payne Sr. Frank was a resident of Huffman, Texas, and was married to Merrilee Mustin Payne for 40 years.
Frank had a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, working for Lyndell Basell. He was known for his passion for golf and enjoyed hosting barbeques with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Douglas Glynn Payne and Cynthia Jean Payne.
Frank is survived by his wife, Merrilee Mustin Payne; his brother, David Leslie Payne, and his wife Debbie Lynn Payne. He leaves behind his children: Sherri Lea Moody and her husband David William Moody, Jeffery Dirl Payne, Sarah Lynn Kennedy and her husband Joseph Tipton Kennedy, and Jason Eric Payne and his wife Katie Elizabeth Payne. Frank was a proud grandfather to Jake Abram Moody and his wife Mika Nicole Moody, Violet Sophia Schoff, Stevie Lynn Schoff, Merrilee Joy Schoff, Luke Joseph Kennedy, and Noah Tipton Kennedy. He is also survived by his nephew, Cody Lee Payne, and Thomas Glynn Payne and his wife Kristen Noelle Payne, and his niece, Jessica Lynn Payne. Frank cherished many life-long friends whom he considered family as well.
