Wendell Floyd Rhodes, 60, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday, November 9th. Wendell was born November 28, 1960 in Galena Park, Texas, and was the sixth child of Floyd and Maudice Rhodes.
Wendell was an avid reader and loved to travel. He was a man of many hobbies and talents including leather working, model rocketry, nature photography, golfing and he was a skilled marksman. He loved working in his shop and was an exceptional carpenter and woodworker. Wendell was a graduate of Deer Park High School and a 30 year employee at Ineos; where he was a Sr. Reliability Technician.
Wendell is survived by his son, Justin Rhodes and his wife Cat of Dayton, TX, and four grandchildren, Chyanne, Isabelle, Will and Trevor. He is also survived by his four sisters Joy (Glenn Darden) of Camden, TX, Gay Matthews of Pasadena, TX, Merry (Rodger Robinson) of Quitman, TX, and Mona Glover of Madison, AL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Maudice Rhodes and brother Terry Rhodes.
Wendell was a quiet man and good to all those he knew. He will be truly missed by those that knew him and loved him.
The visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on November 15, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. with service immediately following.
