Daniel David Garza, age 59, of Edinburg, Texas entered eternal rest on Friday, December 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his beloved family. Daniel was born November 18, 1962 in Edinburg, Texas to the late, Maria Luisa Garza.
Daniel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, loved one and friend. To family and friends who knew him best, Daniel will be remembered as an exceptional person. Fortunately, Daniel enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Daniel worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career working as a Truck Driver for 39 years.
Daniel enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were horseback riding, playing Madden with his son, fishing at Arroyo, going to the beach with his wife and children, but his passion was sharing his interests with others especially his beloved wife, Minnie. Daniel loved spending time with friends but his favorite pastime was spending time with his children and wife whom he adored dearly.
Daniel was a huge sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Top on his list was watching The Dallas Cowboys play as he was an avid fan. He also loved to play baseball and Hide-and-Seek with Minnie and his children.
Simply stated, Daniel was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as caring and giving-someone who was a vital part of their lives. Daniel will continue to shine in the hearts of his family and friends as he leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
Daniel is survived by his spouse, Minnie Garza; his children Rebecca "Becky" Sandoval (David); Esmeralda "Esmer" Medina (Jesse); Sonia Sandoval (Augustin); Daniel David Garza Jr (Chelsea Salinas); and Angela Garza (Joe Barrera); 12 grandchildren; brother, Frank Garza (Minerva); sister, Pauline Escobedo; six nephews; 9 nieces along with various extended family and friends.
Daniel is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Riley Alexa Medina; mother, Maria Luisa Garza and brother, Armando Guerrero.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, Pharr with a prayer service being held at 2:00 PM. His burial is scheduled to follow on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr.
