Fidel Hernandez

SAN JUAN- Fidel Hernandez, 87, left to be with the Lord on June 26, 2017 at his residence in San Juan. He was born to Federico Hernandez and Marciana Rodriguez on May 24, 1930 in Staples, Texas. He is now reunited with his parents; Federico Hernandez SR and Marciana Rodriguez Hernandez; sisters, Antonia Moreno, Dominga Gonzalez and his grandson, Alex Flores. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maria de la Luz Hernandez and their children; Fidel Hernandez JR, Pedro Hernandez, Elena Hernandez and Marciana Hernandez. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Aida Hernandez, Sonya Hernandez, Amanda Hernandez, Andrew Goss, Jeremy Goss, Nikolas Hernandez, David Hernandez, Isaac Tamez JR, Daniel Flores JR, Thomas Flores and great-grandchildren; Selene Guardiola, Athena Guardiola and Ares Guardiola. Survivors also include his siblings, Cruz Hernandez and Federico Hernandez JR. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 29, 2017 at 10 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
