Born in Lubbock, TX, he lived most of his life in Pharr. Frank married the love of his life on March 28, 2009, and together made memories that will live forever. He was a disciplined, punctual, and honorable. Mr. Cardenas was the head of custodians for McAllen School District, where he worked for seven years. He enjoyed playing video games on his phone, working on vehicles, fishing and he was a couponer. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends from his congregation, he loved Jehovah God and he loved preaching about the Bible. There was not one time that Frank would deny anyone his help, from his mouth there was always a “YES”. His smile and charming charisma are going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Cardenas; a brother, Robert Lee Cardenas; two aunts, Yolanda Garza, Janie Castillo; two uncles, Genaro Castillo, Daniel Castillo; and his grandparents, Genaro and Juanita Castillo.
Mr. Cardenas is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Alma Alicia Cardenas; his father Francisco Javier (Bernardina) Cardenas; a brother, Luis Alberto Cardenas; extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. talk Friday, June 19, 2020, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
