Hilaria O.M. Vallejo

Born in Mercedes, TX, she was a lifetime resident of McAllen, TX. She was born to the late Maria and Lazaro Monserrat Moreno. She was the youngest of her family, Hilaria loved her siblings very much. She married the love of her life Sixto Vallejo from Burgos, Tamaulipas on Valentines Day in 1953. Together they raised a family of five children. They taught them strong work ethic, love for one another and a strong faith in Christ. Hilaria was a hard working woman who taught her daughters the importance of being independent. She was blessed with a unique beautiful voice that delighted everyone when she sang. Hilaria had a golden heart, she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Although her family kept growing Hilaria had a way of remembering everyone's unique personality and birthday. She was a loving and caring mother, with a can do spirit. Her unique personality, charming smile, and enchanting voice will be remembered forever by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sixto Vallejo.

Hilaria is survived her five children, Homero (Romana) Vallejo, Alfredo (Elizabeth) Vallejo, Esthela Vallejo, Irma V. (Johnny) Collins, Maria (Cipriano) Garza; grandchildren: Nancy Vallejo (Michael Berenguer II), Rosa (Edgar) Duran, Nydia (Roberto)Gonzalez, Veronica (Cedric †) Jones, Homero (Erica Amador) Vallejo, Jorge (Alejandra) Vallejo, Elizabeth (Jorge) De La Garza, Luis Angel (Kimberly Lopez) Vallejo, Alexander Vallejo, Rocio (Vicente) Villarreal, Edgar (Christina) Vargas, Estela (Joby) Mills, Daniel (Nikki) Vargas, Nelson G. Vargas, Brian (Josana) Collins, Edward (Francesca) Garza, Cipriano Garza III, Alexander Garza; and 25 Great Grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A Christian service will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
