Jesus was born June 3, 1932, to the late -Benigno and Amparo Pañola. Born in Mexico, he lived most of his life in Edinburg, Texas. Mr. Pañola was a proud veteran of the United States ARMY; he served his country with pride and honor from 1956 to 1958, and he was station in Germany. Jesus met the love of his life, Eva in November 8, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois. They got married July 2, 1960, together they build a loving family in the principles of Christianity. Jesus dedicated his life to making his wife happy, she was the light of his eyes. He was a hard working, very generous, and knowledgeable man. Jesus was a very good story teller, he enjoyed sharing his stories with everyone. Mr. Pañola was a loving and extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed playing soccer, swimming, traveling, listening to music, and reading his bible. His wise advice, and his unique charisma will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 yrs of marriage, Eva Pañola; his eight children, Tony (Lupita), Jesus Jr. (Isabel), Gabriel (Marsha), Rafael (Diane), Amparo (Isaias), Felipe (Veronica), Flavio (Janie), Sandie (Luis Jr.); 17 teen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his three brothers, Lalo, Jose Luis, and Benigno Pañola.
A visitation for Jesus will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Rio Grande Valley Veteran Cemetery in Mission at a later day.
