PHARR-Maria Eliza Rocha, 67, has gone to be with the Lord on October 8, 2018 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. She was born on January 17, 1951 and raised in Mission, TX. She married in March 31, 1972 to Jose Rocha, Jr. and moved to Pharr, TX where she resided the rest of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone who knew her would say she had a wonderful personality with a beautiful smile that would light up a room. For 37 years, she cared for and raised a lot of children at her registered home, "Liza's Day Care" in Pharr, TX. until she retired due to her illness. She loved every child like they were her own because that is who she was "Love". We would like to thank everyone at Amara Hospice for all their services and help throughout the year.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Elijah Rocha; parents, Antonio and Belen Cantu; sister Lydia Rendon; brothers, Rodrigo, Octaviano and Mercedes Cantu.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Rocha, Jr. three sons, Jose Rocha III, Joel (Erika) Rocha and Antonio Joe (Jessica) Rocha and her only daughter, Sarita Jo Rocha (Daniel A.). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Rocha (Jorge B.), Jose (Sara) Rocha IV, Rey Angel (Saraly) Solis, Elizabeth Jo (Mark) Olivares, Eric Joel and Emma Janae Rocha, Antonio Joe "AJ" Rocha, Victoria Jo and Viviana Marie De La Rosa and one great grand daughter, Delany Rocha; sisters, Enedina Cantu, Martina Mata, Angela Cantu, Guadalupe Cantu, Norma Hernandez, Sandra Peralez and brothers Antonio Cantu, Jr. and Mariano Alaniz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 1-9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 11 , 2018 at 10 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements and services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley of Pharr.
