Kindly take some time to honor and celebrate our incredible Ryan. Born on April 19, 1985, he packed a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure into his 40 years.
A Dad's Love
Ryan's world changed forever on September 10, 2010, when he welcomed his daughter, Lucy, into the world. From the moment he first held her, everyone could see the overwhelming love in his eyes. He was cautious but confident, determined to be the best dad he could be. And boy, did he deliver.
From fumbling with onesies to becoming her rock, Ryan was all in. He was Lucy's cheerleader, her confidante, her pillar of support. He was always there to lend an ear, offer advice, or just make her laugh with a goofy dad joke. For 15 wonderful years, Ryan dedicated himself to his little girl, and we know that he'll continue to watch over and guide her in the years to come.
A Devoted Son and Brother
Ryan was also a loving son and the best big brother anyone could ask for. As Pong's Kuya, he adored his little brother, and they shared a bond that was truly special. They enjoyed trips together, and frequently shared hobbies from sports to books, music to video games, the brothers were inseparable. Ryan was always eager to share his passions with Pong, and their love for each other was evident in every laughter-filled moment.
A Man of Many Talents
Ryan was a true Renaissance man, with talents and interests that spanned every creative realm imaginable. He was a gifted writer with a particular love for short stories. He could make a guitar wail and a piano sing, with a musical taste that ranged from Icelandic Folk to Jazz and Indie Pop. He was an art enthusiast who could spend all day in the Met soaking in the beauty around him, a nature lover who found solace in the great outdoors, and a scuba diver who found peace beneath the waves.
And let's not forget his culinary skills! Ryan was an amazing baker and a fantastic chef, always eager to whip up a delicious meal for his loved ones. He was also an avid golfer and a Formula 1 fan, his enthusiasm for life is infectious in everything he did.
At work, Ryan was a remarkable leader, well-respected for his big heart and his ability to be a true friend to his team. He had a unique way of bringing people together, making everyone feel valued and appreciated.
A Love Like No Other
Later in life, Ryan met Jomi. From that moment on, he knew she was the one and the two quickly became inseparable. They tied the knot last year and created a life together filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Theirs was a love story for the ages, a testament to the power of true love and happiness.
Remembering Our Ryan
Ryan's life was cut short, but the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten. He was a loving father, a devoted son and brother, a talented artist, a passionate musician, a culinary whiz, and a respected leader. But above all, he was our friend, our confidante, our rock.
As we remember Ryan, let's not mourn his passing but celebrate his life. Let's remember the laughter, the love, the adventures. Let's remember the man who touched our lives in so many ways, who brought joy and happiness wherever he went.
Rest in peace, Ryan. We love you, and we'll miss you always. But know that your spirit lives on in the love you shared, the memories we made, and the joy you brought to our lives.
Until we meet again, Ryan!
With love,
Your Matias Family
