Born in Pharr, he was a lifetime resident and member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. In September of 1958, he married the love of his life, Eva and together they raised their four children. Mr. Zamarripa enjoyed music, working on old vehicles with his son and the outdoors; his favorite pass time was gardening and cutting trees. He is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Roberto is preceded in death by his son, Roberto Zamarripa, Jr.; and his parents, Abundio and Maxima Zamarripa; three sisters, Elvira Z. Garcez, Carmen Z. Castillo, Juanita Zamarripa; five brothers, Agustin, Jose, Jesus, Raul, and Abundio Zamarripa.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Eva Zamarripa; three children, Noemi (Daniel Gonzalez) Zamarripa Gonzalez, Jesus (Yolanda) Zamarripa, Nelly (Roel) Cantu; five grandchildren, Margarito Castillo III, Natalie (Jorge) Gonzalez, Roberto Jesus Zamarripa, Jessica J. Zamarripa, Joshua J. Zamarripa; two great-grandchildren, Addison N. Gonzalez, Arabella R. Gonzalez; four siblings, Rosita, Ruben, Ernesto, and Erasmo Zamarripa; numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr.(Time is pending) Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
