Vernon Ivan Olson, age 100, of Mcallen, Texas walked through Heaven's gates on Friday, May 23, 2025. He was born on April 21, 1925. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry I. Olson and Mable B. Olson.
Vernon was a proud army veteran and a farmer in South Dakota. He was a winter Texan, but became a resident of Texas because of his wife. His favorite pastime involved hunting pheasants in South Dakota, and most importantly his most cherished memories involved spending time with his loving wife Mary Garcia Olson.
Vernon is survived by loving wife Mary Garcia Olson.
A graveside service will begin Friday, June 27, 2025 at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens of Pharr, Texas at 1:00 pm with military honors.
All services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley.
