Betty Harris Sullivan, aged 78 of Smiths Station, AL passed from her daughter's loving arms into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on October 23, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby In Phenix City, AL with a private burial to follow at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Betty was born August 26, 1939 in Tallassee, AL; daughter of the late Sim and Clyde McHargue Harris. Betty was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, GA. She was a fan of Southern Gospel Music and enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 36 years, Kent "Sonny" Sullivan, a son, Ken Sullivan and a sister, Ethel Otheal White.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Vanessa Sullivan of Smiths Station, AL and several other close relatives and friends.
