So very sad to hear of Lynn’s passing.  He was a central figure in my childhood as we all were included in Gavin’s camping and boating adventures at Wind Creek Park.  Those were some amazing times and gave us a lifetime of memories to hold onto.  As cousins, we were all so close as we grew up in and around Oxford, Alabama.  I am so thankful for those times.  Unfortunately, I am unable to attend his funeral service but I am praying for Carolyn and the family as a whole.  Much love- Darlene

Dana I’m in shock!!! I only hear from y’all on fb and I rarely do fb as much anymore. I’ve known y’all since you and James were kids. I didn’t know that he was that sick. If you don’t mind could you please tell me what happened to Carl. I remember when Rick and I went on a weeks camping trip at Jellystone Park in one of the Carolina’s and had 2 tents right by the stream and could fish right there where our tents were. We cooked fish one nite. Carl sent us to the grocery store for Rick to get everything that he was going to cook for the week that we were all there. We had roast beef with potatoes and carrots one nite with fried cornbread and sweet tea. We all had a blast that week. I’ll never forget it. We had an enjoyable time with your whole family. Rick worked with Carl for many years and there were many great perks. When Carl closed the carlot and just had the finance company is when Rick went to work with someone else,but he and Carl always stayed in touch and Carl and Carolyn came to visit us quite a few times when we lived in PCB FL and even bought a condo so that they would have somewhere to stay when they were there. Carolyn and you did an excellent job upgrading it. I was amazed at the work that y’all did. There are many more memories that I can think of but these are some of the highlites. I know that Carl and Rick are meeting up with each other talking about what they all love to talk about……..cars!!! And Carl telling Rick “handle it handle it” one of carls favorite phrases. It is not good bye it is just see you later. RIP CARL. 🙏😇
