Donnie Powell, 63 of Opelika, AL died Friday, December 1, 2017 in Columbus, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. EST Friday December 8, 2017 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Richard Ashburn officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Powell was born November 15, 1954 in Pineville, Louisiana; son of the late Milton and Susie Bennett Powell. Survivors include his wife whom he has been with for 49 years and married for 45 years.Lula Jones Powell; four children, Becky Bailey (James), Donald Powell (Tracey), Jerry Powell (Tracy), Justin Powell (Erin), brother, Billy Powell, grandchildren, Chris Bailey (Jessica), Ashley Adams, James Bailey, Jr. (Leslie), Bobbie Harrod (Robbie), Greggory Bailey (Adrianna), Donald Powell, II (Taylor), Brittany Powell, Brock Powell, Becca Powell (Jake), Taylor Salard, Tyler Salard, Regan Bailey, Jeremiah Bailey, Bryson Powell, Hunter Tripp, Ray Tripp, III, Tyler Tripp and two great grandchildren, Lucy-Mae Bailey and Annslee Harrod.
