A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867 with Pastor Greg Hyche officiating. A burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Mrs. Modling was born February 23, 1942 in Eufaula, Alabama; daughter of the late Ike and Ethel Fendley Bennett. She was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. She began her relationship with the Lord as a young adult and testified that relationship through baptism at Georgetown Baptist Church and remained faithful throughout her life.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Modling and two siblings, Robert Bennett and Mary Bennett.
Survivors include her son Ashley Modling and wife, Mandi, grandchildren,Wesley, Patrick and Bryce Modling, sister, Georgia Bennett (Jerry), brother,Tommy Bennett (Heather), sister-in-law, Rosemary Bennett (wife of Robert), five nephews and one niece.
