

Captain Gale C. Sult, 83, U.S. Army ( Ret), Pittsview, Alabama, died Sunday January 22, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm (EST) Thursday January 26th at the Cottonton Baptist Church, #59 Kite Road, Pittsview, AL., 36821, Ph# 334 855-4726, with Pastor Wesley Price officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Ft. Mitchell National
Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 2770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the church in Pittsview.
Mr. Sult was born January 7, 1929 in Yale, Oklahoma, son of the late Elmer and Frieda Courtney Sult. He retired from the U.S. Army with more than 22 years of faithful service. Additionally Mr. Sult retired from civil service at Ft. Benning with over 20 years of service. Military awards include the Bronze Star Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal w/60 device. Other than his parents Mr. Sult is preceded in death by a son, Gerald C. Sult.
Survivors include his wife of more than 64 years, Lola Cameron Sult of Pittsview, brother, Donald G. Sult and wife, Jeannine of Austin, TX., nieces, Kay D. Ballard and Janet L. Lunday, of Austin, TX., sister-in-law, Linda Riley and husband Arlis,
