Glenn Foy Bunting

Glenn Foy Bunting, 84 of Smiths Station, AL died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. EDT at Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867. The family will receive friends from 12:30 unitl 1:30 pm Wednesday at the the funeral home.

Mr. Bunting was born August 18, 1926 in Banks, Alabama, son of the late George S. and Claudia Renfroe Bunting. He served in the U.S. Army, was retired from Lummus Industries was a Mason and Baptist by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Bunting, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne Bunting of Smiths, AL, three daughters, Glenda Goetting and husband Clarke of McDonough, GA, Kathy Large of Columbus, GA, Debbie Carver and husband Carl of Marietta, GA, step-children, Linda Griffin and husband Tim of Lakewood, CO, Julie Beard and husband Warren of Fayetteville, AR, John Wladrep and wife Kathy of Fairberry, NE, Mike Waldrep and wife Janine of Loveland, CO, brothers, Bobby Bunting and wife Yvonne of Columbus, GA, Billy Bunting and wife Linda of Dallas, TX, sister, Ida Lou McCauley of Columbus, GA, former wife, Helen Bunting of Columbus, GA, grandchildren,Eddie White and wife Shea, Amie Walsh, Samantha Large and husband Tim, Beth Pate, Erica Pickett and husband Derek, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
