Glyndia Faye Smith

Glyndia Faye Smith, age 82, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Parkwood Health Care. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Following the visitation for family and friends will be a celebration of life funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Smith was born May 18, 1940 in Dothan, Alabama; daughter of the late Orbie and Jewell Cobb Devane. She was retired from Columbus Carpet Mill Store and was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Frank Smith and her brother, Orbie Devane, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Randy F. Smith, daughter, Melinda Carter (Luis Cortes), grandchildren, Kristofer Carter, Joshua Carter (Amanda) and Cory Smith; sister, Carolyn Devane Vinson, sister-in-law, Pat Devane (Orbie Jr.) six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
