James Charles Jolly

A Visitation for Family and Friends of James will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A Private Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 PM at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 Highway 165, AL 36856.

Mr. Jolley was born on December 22, 1934 in Gaffney, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Amos and Janie Towery Jolly. He retired from the U.S. Army and later went on to retire from Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Mr. Jolly loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, but mostly loved his wife of 69 years, Hazel P. Jolly.

He survived by his wife, Hazel Jolly; sons, Charles M. "Mike" Jolly (Gwen) and J. Mark Jolly; daughter, Patricia Jolly Marvets; brother, Cecil Jolly (Brenda); grandchildren, Audra Jackson (James), David Marvets, II (Kristi), Chris Marvets, Evelyn Marvets, Robert Jolly, Samantha Naramore (John), James R. Jolly (Miranda); great-grandchildren, Hannah Sheffer, Tripp Marvets, Nicolas Jackson, Adriana Jackson, Wyatt Hallmark, Bodhi Moon, Olivia Moon, Lena Naramore, Wesley Naramore, Scotti Naramore, Jaylee Jolly, Jules Jolly; and great-great grandchildren, Ellie, Blake and Jackie Sheffer.
